NALIP Saint Lucia mourns the passing of former librarian and member of its executive Ms. Rosamund Stanislas...

It is with deep sadness that the National Association of
Librarians and Information Professionals (NALIP) Saint Lucia mourns the passing
of former librarian and member of its executive Ms. Rosamund Stanislas. Ms.
Stanislas served as trustee for the executive from 2018 until her passing. She
was also an active member of the planning committee for library week from its
inception. She lived a life of servitude and humility, dedication and passion
for everything "Library' and remained dedicated to any cause in which she
shared a vested interest. She was fearless in the pursuit of any and everything
that would secure funding for or put Library Services in the limelight. Anything
was possible.
Ms. Stanislas worked with the public service, first in the Ministry of Education, and later served as senior staff member at the Central library in Castries, along with the G ros Islet Public Library for over 30 years and served in various departments including periodicals.
May her family and loved ones be comforted by the wonderful memories they shared with Ms. Stanislas.
A condolence book will be available at the Central Library, corner of Micoud Street in Castries.
May she rest in eternal peace.
